NATIVITY FESTIVAL
The “Nativity Festival” opens
Thursday, Dec 19 at 9:30am with the
COLORS OF CHRISTMAS
This very special multi-media program of story and song celebrates the cultures and traditions on display, and is accompanied by Gina Buzzelli, violin; Tom Ritter, bass; Will Kinsey, drums, and Kate Philabaum, keyboard. Following the program, nativities can be viewed, with lunch served at 11:30am in the Social Room.
More than 100 nativities from around the world are nestled between decorated, themed trees. Many vibrant crèches are on loan from the University of Dayton Marian Library made from unusual materials such as wire (Palestine), burlap (Guatemala), grass (Congo), plaster (Switzerland), and cork (Brazil). This unique global experience also includes handmade seasonal gifts, wreaths and ornaments, live musical performances, and a cookie-cocoa bar.
