January 18 Lunch & Learn "Silver White Winters"

David Baker will be our speaker for the January 18 Lunch & Learn. "Silver White Winters" will include an exhibit of winter photography on the Maumee by Norman Fairman

as well as a poetry reading by Mr. Baker. We are looking forward to our FIRST poetry reading in the gallery!

David has lived in Ohio for more than thirty years, and his poetry springs directly out of his life and experiences here. These poems illuminate our villages and farms—from Lake Erie to the Ohio River—our big-city gardens, small-town neighborhoods, and family life. David is also one of the country’s leading eco-poets, devoted to the natural world—the woods, the fields, the backyards and creeks of our state, all the rich flora and fauna that live among us. Drawn from his twelve books of poems, David’s poetry readings are lively and warm. He’s eager to read his work and talk with us about the art of poetry, its important place in our lives and imaginations. We are able to bring this event to HeART Gallery through the help of the OH Arts and Humanities Council. Our

themed lunch and decor that will have everyone appreciating the beauty of the season.

Lunch is by donation with a suggestion of $15- $20. There is free parking in the KWIK lot adjacent to the building, which is
