Looking Over The President's Shoulder Thurs April 18
This is a very special Lunch & Learn event!
A "White House Buffet" will be served at 11am with a
performance of "Looking over the President's Shoulder"
beginning at noon. This one-act monolog is based on the dramatic, true story of Alonzo Fields who served 21 years in the White House as Chief Butler under Hoover, FDR, Truman and Eisenhower. Visitors to the White House, comments about the President's wives, the everyday life of each Commander and Chief and their tastes in food provide a wonderfully entertaining one man show.
This performance by Tyrek Hyde sold out twice last year at the Hayes Presidential Library and we are thrilled to offer this at HeART Gallery. Reservations are needed for the “White House Buffet” lunch where items mentioned in the drama will be served.
RSVP to kate@stpaulstoledo.org. HeART Gallery is located in St Paul's Lutheran Church, 428 N Erie Street, Toledo. There is free parking in the KWIK Park adjacent to the church building which is handicap accessible.
Lunch is by donation with a suggestion of $20, payable in
cash or check at the door.
