Lunch & Learn Aug 17 at noon RAGTIME
After a short summer recess, Lunch & Learn returns with a fabulous program of turn-of-the-century history and music focused on the life in the late 1800s, and particularly, Scott Joplin.
Richard Baranowski. local historian, will weave Joplin's interesting story into the period that brought us the
bicycle, the electric light bulb, the zipper and jello.
Kate will provide Ragtime favorites and a lunch menu representing the period. Need a hint? Club sandwiches,
Campbell's soup, popcorn and Lady Baltimore cake were
all the rage at the time. (August might be too hot for Campbell's soup!)
Reconnect with familiar faces and make new friends as
we meet again at our monthly Lunch & Learn on the third Thursday of each month. Lunch is by donation with free parking in the KWIK lot adjacent to the church building. Doors open at 11:30 with meal served at noon. Reservations are appreciated, but not required to kate@stpaulstoledo.org.
